Brushstrokes July/August 2017

It’s summer vacation, so BWS will not be holding meetings in July or August.

September 11, we’ll meet again for Show-and-Share, to be moderated by Nancy Metz. Plan to bring your paintings or travel journals or whatever artwork you’d like to share. Look for more details in the September issue.

At last month’s BWS meeting…

Sande Nitti presented the program at the June meeting about layering pastels over a watercolor underpainting. It was very interesting and many were heard saying, “I can’t wait to try that!” Thanks, Sande, for the inspiration!

Sad News
Bloomington Watercolor Society will miss longtime member Patti Brundle, who died July 5. Although poor health prevented her from participating in many BWS activities, she shared her interests and ideas online with many of us. The family is planning a memorial service at a later date. You are invited to share a memory or leave an online condolence to the family at www.allencares.com.
